There was
a time when financial planning and finding the right investment to match
your needs was relatively simple.
When you did business with Fiscal Agents Financial Services Group, all
we needed was your name and address so that we would know where to mail
your receipts, notices of maturing certificates and account statements.
Today, it's more complex.
For example, if you invest in any GIC, RSP or even a savings account that
pays interest, the law requires that we request your social insurance
number. Similarly, if you invest in retirement products, we need your
date of birth and other relevant personal information. If you want to
borrow money the financial institution will need to know about your credit
history and financial status.
However you, as an individual, have the right to demand that personal
information about you held by us remains accurate, confidential and secure.
At Fiscal Agents, we are proud of our reputation in maintaining the confidentiality
and security of personal information. We have provided this document to
explain to you how we strive to protect the privacy of individual customers'
personal information.
The Provincial securities regulators also require us to ascertain certain
information. We are bound by the rules and regulations that are in Law.
It also helps us to:
- understand your
needs
- determine the suitability
of our products and services for you
- determine your
eligibility for our products and services
- manage and offering
products and services that meet your needs
- provide you with
ongoing service and
- meet our legal
and regulatory requirements.
Because it is important
that we keep your trust, we will only ask you for information that we
require. Also, when we ask you for information we will let you know why
we need it.
We may also, with your consent, give this information to other members
of the Fiscal Agents Financial Services Group of Companies (where the
law allows) so that they may directly tell you about their products and
services.
| Confidentiality |

Under normal circumstances, Fiscal Agents will not collect, use or disclose
your personal information without your consent. "Disclosure" means
providing specific information about you from our records to a third party.
The only exceptions to this rule are when the firm has a legal obligation
to disclose under a valid court or government order. Or, the firm would
not ask for consent when personal information is given to back to the financial
institution you have dealt with using Fiscal Agents as your advisor.

While Fiscal Agents
tries to ensure that the information we hold about you is accurate, complete
and up-to-date, it is in your best interest to inform the us at 905-844-7700
or your servicing branch and or personal financial advisor promptly of
a change of name, address or any other relevant information.
If information has been provided to third parties (“third parties”
means a financial institution, life insurance or investment management
company), we will convey the corrected information to them, if necessary.
Once you have your confirmation and/or purchase order the information,
all you have to do is check it for accuracy and let us know if there are
any corrections required. We will correct our records or make note of
any differences. This also pertains to information disclosed to third
parties.

In addition, every Fiscal Agents Financial Services Group employee, as a
condition of employment, takes responsibility for protecting customer privacy,
confidentiality and security. It's an obligation that remains in effect
even after an employee leaves the firm.
Fiscal Agents also has extensive controls to maintain the security of its
operations and information systems. Physical access to areas where information
is gathered, processed or stored is restricted to authorized employees only.
Appropriate controls are in place over computer systems and data processing
procedures and these controls are reviewed on an ongoing basis to ensure
compliance with our security and privacy policies.
The firm also destroys,
erases or makes anonymous any personal information which is no longer needed
for the investment purposes or legal requirements.
We are committed, and our systems are designed, to protect your privacy
and confidentiality.
What about cookies?
Cookies are pieces
of information that an interative service (e.g. website, digital TV) transfers
to your hardware (e.g. computer, set top box etc.) for record-keeping
purposes. Fiscalagents.com may use cookies where appropriate. If you are
using a PC and do not wish to receive cookies you can disable them in
the options or preferences menu within your internet browser.
