| Clients who visit the Oakville office to
respond to Fiscal Agents' concept of Cornerstone Planning are likely
to meet Robert Whipp on their first encounter. Rob is a financial
advisor who is able to relate to a variety of situations and needs,
which is beneficial since the clientele of Fiscal Agents represent
people from all walks of life.
"I have to be versatile," says Rob. "Every day we
meet new people with different goals and levels of investment experience.
Those of us in the office have to be able to communicate with people
on their level - from those with no investment experience to those
who may be seeking a change in the management of their portfolios
and are well informed."
Rob begins an information-gathering session with an in-depth analysis
of each client's current financial situation. He helps them to look
ahead to the future and ultimately to their retirement aspirations.
"We take a realistic look at the present to set goals for
the future. Some people may simply be seeking our advice on a particular
investment while others are seeking a long-term investment strategy.
We can address the needs of both," he says.
Tax savings are always a concern and through Rob's analysis, clients
are assisted in setting up RRSPs, RRIFs and non-registered accounts
using an approach to minimize income taxes. It is this aspect of
his experience and industry knowledge, where clients derive the
greatest benefit. "We want to protect our clients' money while
offering growth with a view to managing taxes and risk concerns
through a variety of options."
Rob entered the financial services industry in 1976 and has a wealth
of practical experience to draw on. His best clients are those who
are realistic about their expectations and who are comfortable with
a long term investment approach.
Rob describes working with his clients as "a satisfying experience"
as he plays a part in helping clients get their finances in order.
"We add structure with strong advice and our industry experience.
That is satisfying to be involved in."
